SBC is an evangelical Christian church committed to the Gospel of Christ. We love Jesus, we love people, and we love to study the Bible.
We uphold seven core beliefs as essential to Christianity. These beliefs relate to God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, humanity, salvation, and the end of time.
Getting connected at SBC is about relationships that get beneath the surface. That kind of relationship won’t come by simply attending worship service.
We’re happy to have you
Whether you are curious or seriously seeking a “church home,” you are very much welcome at SBC. You don’t have to be a member to visit us! The steps below will help you know what to expect on Sundays, or you can start with visiting one of the weekday ministries.
Sunday morning service
Worship is at 08:00, 10:00 and 17:00 every Sunday, with special services on Easter Friday and Christmas Eve. Yes, even when the 94.7 Cycle Race is on.
Arrive and get parked
Parking is available inside the church grounds. It generally fills up quickly 10 minutes before the service. We encourage you to come 15 minutes early on your first visit. Get a cup of freshly brewed coffee – available from 30 minutes before we start – and meet the welcome team and pastors.
Find a place for yourself and your kids
Kids are welcome to attend the worship service, or they can join one of the programs for pre-primary and primary school aged children which coincide with both of our worship services. We also have a cry room and discreet feeding room for moms.
Celebrate through worship
We start with Christ centred praise and worship led by one of our three worship teams, followed by a Bible-based message by Pastor Wayne. Afterwards, you can grab a cup of coffee, connect with our welcome team, and one of our elders or deacons in our library lounge. Our entire worship service experience lasts 90 minutes.
Be impacted by the message
Pastor Wayne communicates with a warm, honest, and personal style. Each weekend you’ll find his messages are Bible-based and easy to understand. Whether you’ve been following Christ for some time or are curious about what a relationship with God looks like, you’ll find Pastor Wayne easy to connect with. We generally teach through books of the Bible, as well as on topics that are relevant to our life and times.
