Most of us are quick to admit that we're impatient, but slow to admit that impatience is sin. We joke about it rather than repent of it, minimizing both its seriousness and its consequences. If patience is a fruit of the Spirit, then impatience is no trivial matter. A biblical definition of impatience, together with the examples Scripture provides, should move us to cultivate this grace more diligently.
