The Tower of Babel is a well known Sunday School story about people building a tower to reach heaven and then God stopping them by confusing them with different languages. Is this just a fable explaining different languages, like “How the leopard got his spots”? Were they trying to reach heaven but God stopped them because they might succeed in some way? We’re going to look at the real history and problem at Babel and see that we still suffer from the same tendencies today.
