What to expect
We’re happy to have you
Curious or seeking a church home, all are welcome at SBC. No membership required to visit.
Sunday services
Worship every Sunday at 08:00, 10:00, or 17:30. Special services on Easter Friday and Christmas Eve, even during the 94.7 Cycle Race.
Arrive and get parked
Parking is available inside the church grounds. Come 10 minutes early for your first visit, grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and meet our welcoming team and pastors.
A place for your whole family
Kids are welcome to attend the worship service, or they can join one of our programs for pre-primary, junior primary, and senior primary aged children which coincide with both of our worship services. We also have a cry room and discreet feeding room for moms.
Presently there are no children’s programs running during our evening service, but children are more than welcome to join in with the “big people.”
Celebrate through worship
We begin with Christ-centered worship led by one of our music teams, followed by a relevant Bible message. Our entire worship service experience lasts 90 minutes. Afterwards, enjoy a time connecting over coffee with our team and others from our SBC family.
Be impacted by the message
Pastor Wayne’s warm, honest, and personal style delivers Bible-based, understandable messages. Whether you’ve been following Christ for some time or are curious about what a relationship with God looks like, you’ll find Pastor Wayne easy to connect with. We generally teach through books of the Bible, as well as on topics that are relevant to our life and times.
Come as you are
The pastors dress smart casual, but you’ll see people in the congregation dressed in all styles – from jeans and shorts, to business suits. SBC blends the comfort and familiarity of traditional hymns with contemporary praise and worship songs.

What we believe
We uphold seven core beliefs of the Christian faith. These beliefs relate to God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, humanity, salvation, and the end of time.
We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God, are without error in the original writings, and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
We believe in one God, Creator and sustainer of the universe, Who is eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, His death to pay the penalty for everyone’s sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation at God’s right hand, and His personal, imminent, pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return.
We believe that all have sinned and are therefore guilty before God and are under His condemnation.
We believe that all who by faith receive Jesus Christ are then born again of the Holy Spirit, therefore children of God and eternally saved, and that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to enlighten, guide, and enable the believer in life, testimony, and service. We believe that God answers the prayers of His people and meets their needs according to His purpose.
We believe that God gives spiritual gifts to all believers for the building up of the body of Christ. Certain gifts were given to accomplish a specific purpose in the early church and were therefore temporary. Other gifts were given for edification during the entire church age and are therefore permanent.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in Glory and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in hell.
