Tina Turner famously asked, "What's love got to do with it? What's love but a second-hand emotion?" When it comes to the importance of the connection between the heart and our emotions, specifically, love, the biblical answer to Tina's questions would be: "Everything!" and "Not at all!" To get a better grasp of love from a biblical perspective, we're going to do four things this week: 1. Establish the primacy of love 2. Dispel the notion that love is not an emotion 3. Reflect on the character of biblical love and 4. Evaluate the love or lack of love in our own hearts.
